Making Smiles Orthodontics in Madison, AL, seeks an experienced Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced setting. You will perform bracket placements, debonding, digital scans, X-rays, and patient photography while educating patients on care and appliance use.

You will work closely with the orthodontist and team to maintain efficient, high-quality care. A 1+ year dental assisting background and radiography credentials are required or strongly preferred.

Formación

• X-ray/radiography certification required.
• Certified Orthodontic Assistant preferred.
• Proven track record as a dental assistant with 1+ year experience.
• Experience with digital scanning, dental photography, and X-ray tech.

Responsabilidades

Pay

• $20 - $25 per hour
• Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

• License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification, Certified Orthodontic Assistant
• Software Experience: CEREC, iTero
• Years of Professional Experience: Experienced Dental assistant with 1+ years of practice
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Dental Assisting experience is required. (Previous Orthodontic experience is a significant plus!)
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital scanning, dental photography, and X-ray technology.
• Core Competencies: Must be highly reliable, coachable, and motivated to learn new clinical techniques.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional patient interaction skills and a "team-first" mentality are essential for success in this role.

Job Description

• Clinical Procedures: Perform adjustments, place brackets, and handle the debonding process with precision.
• Imaging & Diagnostics: Utilize modern technology to take high-quality digital scans, X-rays, and clinical photography.
• Patient Education: Guide patients through their orthodontic journey by explaining oral hygiene techniques and proper appliance maintenance.
• Operatory Management: Efficiently prepare and sanitize treatment rooms to ensure a safe and organized clinical environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Orthodontist and staff to ensure every appointment runs on schedule and every patient leaves with a smile.
