Job summary

A.T. Still University (Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health) in Mesa, AZ seeks a full-time dental assistant for Orthodontics to support residents as a chairside assistant and perform four-handed assisting duties.

The role also involves solo work with patients and maintaining the orthodontic unit. Requirements include DA and X-Ray certificates, four-handed assisting skills, diagnostic imaging ability, and proficiency with Dolphin software, plus infection control and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• DA and X-Ray certificates required.
• Four-handed dental assisting skills.
• Ability to take clear, diagnostic images and photographs.
• Familiar with Dolphin software and dental office workflows.
• Infection control and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Input charting and notes in Dolphin, and acquire CBCT x-rays.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Orthodontic unit and clinic.
• Independently complete daily and weekly maintenance tasks for your monthly assignment, the lab, and the clinic.
• Attend monthly on-site meetings and off-site meetings as assigned.
• Scanning patient documents, stocking, cleaning units, and clinic areas.
• Place maintenance request emails for broken items.
• Provide feedback on supply usage.
• Continuing education course attendance.
• Cleaning the kitchen area.
• Assisting with clerical work as needed (Dolphin status clean up, scanning, etc).
