Job summary

A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Orthodontics Dental Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This role supports residents, performs four-handed chairside duties, and can work independently with patients.

Responsibilities include charting in Dolphin, imaging, clinic maintenance, meetings, and clerical tasks. DA and X-ray certificates are required, with experience in back office dentistry and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• DA and X-Ray certificates required.
• Four-handed dental assisting skills.
• Ability to take clear, diagnostic images and photographs.
• Sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards/regulations.
• Proficient with Dolphin software.
• Dental back office experience.
• Digital x-ray and infection control knowledge.

• Assist orthodontic residents as chairside and solo with patients.
• Input charting and notes in Dolphin and acquire CBCT x-rays.
• Maintain organization of the Orthodontic unit and clinic.
• Perform maintenance tasks for monthly assignments, lab, and clinic.
• Attend on-site and off-site meetings as assigned.
• Scan patient documents and manage supplies; stocking and cleaning.
• Submit maintenance request emails for broken items.
• Provide feedback on supply usage and assist with clerical tasks as needed.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Dental Assistant for Orthodontics on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position will provide support as a chairside assistant to assigned residents, performing daily four-handed assisting duties and working solo with patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Input charting and notes in Dolphin, and acquire CBCT x-rays.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Orthodontic unit and clinic.
• Independently complete daily and weekly assigned maintenance tasks for your monthly assignment, the lab, and the clinic.
• Attend monthly on-site meetings and off-site meetings as assigned.
• Scanning patient documents, stocking, cleaning units, and clinic areas.
• Place maintenance request emails for broken items.
• Provide feedback on supply usage.
• Continuing education course attendance.
• Cleaning the kitchen area.
• Assisting with clerical work as needed (Dolphin status clean up, scanning, etc).
