Job summary

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) on the Mesa campus is hiring a full-time non-exempt Dental Assistant for Orthodontics.

This role provides chairside assistance to residents and independent patient care with four-handed support and solo patient work. Responsibilities include charting in Dolphin, CBCT imaging, unit maintenance, and clerical tasks, with education in DA and X-ray certificates.

Qualifications

• DA and X-ray certificates are required.
• Four-handed dental assisting skills.
• Ability to take clear diagnostic images.
• Knowledge of Sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA and infection control.
• Proficient with Dolphin software.
• Dental back-office experience.
• Digital x-ray and computer systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Chairside four-handed assisting for orthodontic residents.

• Attend monthly on-site meetings and off-site meetings as assigned.

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time non-exempt Dental Assistant for Orthodontics on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position will provide support as a chairside assistant to assigned residents, performing daily four-handed assisting duties and working solo with patients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Input charting and notes in Dolphin, and acquire CBCT x-rays.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Orthodontic unit and clinic.
• Independently complete daily and weekly assigned maintenance tasks for your monthly assignment, the lab, and the clinic.
• Attend monthly on-site meetings and off-site meetings as assigned.
• Scanning patient documents, stocking, cleaning units, and clinic areas.
• Place maintenance request emails for broken items.
• Provide feedback on supply usage.
• Continuing education course attendance.
• Cleaning the kitchen area.
• Assisting with clerical work as needed (Dolphin status clean up, scanning, etc).

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• DA and X-Ray certificates required.
• Four-handed dental assisting skills.
• Ability to take clear, diagnostic images and photographs.
• Sterilization, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards/regulations.
• Proficient with Dolphin software.
• Dental back office experience.
• Digital x-ray, infection control, demonstrated knowledge of computer systems/software.
