Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support the orthodontic team and patients throughout the treatment process. You will be equipped with training and resources to grow professionally in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, preparing materials, educating patients on post-care, and maintaining records while ensuring a welcoming experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of orthodontic experience required.
• Active Registered Dental Assistant License required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and set a positive tone for visits.
• Assist Orthodontist with procedures and maintain a smooth clinic flow.
• Prepare and adjust arch-wires, place bands, and assist with bonding.
• Take impressions, manage x-rays, and develop imaging.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and follow-up steps.
• Maintain accurate patient records and inventory, ensuring readiness for procedures.

What you'll do:

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.

• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.

• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Educate patients on post-treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long-term oral health.

• Coordinate care and follow-ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision-making and continuity of care.

• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality specialty care.

• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

• Utilizing the computer imaging system

• Sterilizing instruments

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License

• Current CPR certification

• Minimum of 1 year of specific orthodontic experience

• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
