Job summary

Ideal Dental is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Texas. You will support the orthodontist, assist with arch-wires, bonding, impressions, and imaging, while delivering patient-friendly care.

You will ensure clinical readiness, maintain records, and educate patients on post-treatment care. A valid RDA license and CPR are required, with a minimum of 1 year orthodontic experience and willingness to travel within the assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Assistant license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year orthodontic experience.
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare them for treatment.
• Assist the orthodontist during procedures with precision and care.
• Unknot/adjust arch-wires, fit bands, and assist with bonding.
• Take impressions and photographs; manage imaging workflow.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain clinical readiness.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and follow-up visits.
• Coordinate patient care and ensure smooth patient flow.

• Create a welcoming environment for patients, helping them feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey.
• Support patients through complex orthodontic procedures, helping them feel informed, calm, and confident throughout their treatment experience.
• Work alongside the Orthodontist to ensure precision, efficiency, and a smooth clinical experience tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Educate patients on post‑treatment care and recovery to promote healing and long‑term oral health.
• Coordinate care and follow‑ups, ensuring patients receive timely treatment and clear communication throughout their visit.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records to support clinical decision‑making and continuity of care.
• Foster a collaborative team environment by staying proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high‑quality specialty care.
• Contribute to the success of orthodontic practice by helping manage clinical readiness, patient flow, and operational support.

What do you need to have to be a part of our team?

• Active Registered Dental Assistant License
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of specific orthodontic experience
• Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
