Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking a qualified Orthodontic Dental Assistant for a part-time role in California. The position involves Friday availability (1–2 Fridays per month) from 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, supporting bonding, impressions, Invisalign, and 6 Month Smiles procedures.

You will assist with chairside support, operate iTero systems, and maintain infection control and clinical reporting in a patient-first environment. CAD/CAM tools and dental software proficiency are valued.

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 1 year orthodontic experience.
• X-Ray Certification and CPR/BLS certification.
• Must obtain Real ID driver license before start date.
• Preferred: Expanded Duty Dental Assistant and/or Nitrous & Coronal Polishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform orthodontic procedures including bonding, tie bands, and braces.
• Take impressions and operate iTero scanning systems.
• Assist with Invisalign and 6 Month Smiles treatments.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide chairside support.
• Operate dental software and clinical equipment.
• Set up, break down, and maintain treatment areas, including sterilization and biohazard disposal.
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and required clinical reporting.
