Culberson Orthodontics in North Augusta is seeking an experienced, full-time orthodontic assistant to join our fast-paced, patient-centered practice.

The role involves chairside assisting, records, light lab duties, and helping children, teens and adults feel at ease while achieving optimal results; candidates must have certification and 2+ years of experience.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Orthodontic Assistant Certification.
• A minimum of two years of clinical orthodontic assisting experience is required.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of orthodontic chair side assisting, diagnostic records, light lab duties and sterilization.
• Ability to work with children and adults.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think logically, and anticipate next steps.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with coworkers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide all aspects of clinical Orthodontic Chairside Assisting, including support for the orthodontist and team members.
• Engage patients and parents to create a positive experience.
• Prepare examination and treatment areas by sterilizing instruments and moving equipment into place.
• Assist in updating and maintaining confidential records.
• Educate parents and patients on oral hygiene for optimal results.
• Complete patient charting and doctor notes as directed by the doctor.
• Record 3-D iTero scans, X-rays, intra-oral pictures and instruct patients on oral care.
• Maintain inventory levels in each chair and replenish as needed.
• Lab duties: pour/trim plaster models and create Essix retainers; learn to work with a 3D printer.
• Comply with State, Federal and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Join our fast-paced, state of the art orthodontic office located in North Augusta today! We are searching for an enthusiastic, full-time Experienced orthodontic assistant for an immediate start. Culberson Orthodontics is a private orthodontic practice seeking a certified orthodontic assistant for a full-time position to work in our family-oriented facility. • Provide all aspects of Clinical Orthodontic Chairside Assisting, including support for the orthodontist as well as team members.

• Educate parents and patients on how to improve or maintain proper oral hygiene for optimal results.
• Provide an optimal patient experience with each patient by engaging with the patient and parent (if applicable) and performing clinical duties effectively within the scheduled appointment time.
• Record patient charting and all doctor notes in the digital patient chart as directed by the doctor.
• Complete 3-D iTero scans, X-rays, intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate, and instruct patients on general oral health care.
• Maintain adequate inventory supply levels in each chair, replenishing as needed.
• Lab duties to include pouring and trimming plaster models, and making clear “Essix” type retainers. You will also learn to work with a 3D printer in the lab.
• Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices).
• Regular and punctual attendance

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent. Must have Orthodontic Assistant Certification. A minimum of two years of clinical orthodontic assisting experience is required. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of orthodontic chair side assisting, diagnostic record taking, light lab duties and sterilization. Ability to work with children AND adults. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, to think logically, and be able to anticipate next steps. Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers.
