Job summary

Palmetto Family Orthodontics in South Carolina is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Clinical Assistant to join our family-owned practice. You will work closely with the Doctor and team to deliver high-quality orthodontic care and support patients through treatment.

Responsibilities include taking digital radiographs, intraoral scans, preparing teeth for bonding, assisting with adjustments, sterilizing equipment, and educating patients on dental hygiene. Previous orthodontic experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant with a strong foundation in dental and orthodontic knowledge.
• Familiarity with self-ligating brackets welcomed.
• Experience taking digital radiographs and intraoral scans.

Responsibilities

• Take digital radiographs and perform intraoral 3D scans.
• Assist with orthodontic adjustments and appliance placement/removal.
• Prepare teeth for bonding and debonding and ensure sterilization.
• Educate and motivate patients to follow doctor recommendations.
• Chart patient information and communicate treatment plans.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

• -Previous experience as an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant with a strong foundation in dental and orthodontic knowledge.
