Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group seeks an Orthodontic Assistant to join our Aberdeen, WA team. You will assist our orthodontists, manage patient flow, and help create a positive, kid-friendly dental experience.

Qualifications include X-ray and CPR certification, at least 1 year in an orthodontic setting, and completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program. Training provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice preferred; training provided.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a kid-friendly environment.

Requirements:

• X-ray and CPR certification is required

• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.
• Full-time role (30+ hours per week).

A Typical Day as an Orthodontic Assistant:

• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.

• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.

• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.

Schedule:

• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours – No nights!
