Job summary

Lone Peak Dental Group is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our pediatric team in Lebanon, TN. The ideal candidate is reliable, energetic, and compassionate, with a focus on making dental visits positive for kids and families.

Responsibilities include assisting orthodontists, taking X-rays, and maintaining a kid-friendly environment. Full-time hours with daytime shifts; some Saturdays may be required. Training offered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• X-ray and CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in an ortho practice is preferred, but we will train the right person.
• Coronal Polishing.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic assistant program preferred.
• Additional certification or training is a plus.
• Experience with Denticon software or iTero scanners is a plus.

• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.

A Typical Day as an Orthodontic Assistant:

• Prepare treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
• Assist orthodontists during patient appointments and procedures.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and care techniques.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with patient scheduling.
• Keep accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensuring smooth patient flow and maintaining a kid-friendly environment.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• Some Saturdays may be required
• Daytime hours – No nights!
