We are searching for an Orthodontic Assistant that is dedicated, dependable, and eager to help others. You will have a role in creating a comfortable and friendly environment for our patients and the team.
Responsibilities include:
- Help to maintain patient flow pattern by seating patients promptly and begin procedures
- Place separators, elastic chains, and wires
- Prepare teeth for bonding of braces and Invisalign attachments
- Scales cement and checks patient for loose brackets or bonds
- Monitor oral hygiene of patients, instructs on correct brushing
- Keeps drawers stocked, clean, and replenished
- Debriefs patient and parents after appointments
- Take X-rays, iTero scans, and impressions
- Charts all notes for patients seen
- Scheduling of next appointment
- Answers any questions for parents regarding treatment
- Assists Orthodontist in any given procedure
- Anticipates what doctor may need during appointment and takes action
- Sterilization of instruments
- Performs additional tasks daily and/or monthly as assigned by office manager
- Attends all other staff meetings and Daily Huddles
- Abide by established office policies and procedures
- Representing the practice in a positive way inside and outside of the office
Compensation includes:

Requirements
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is required (orthodontics preferred)
- X-Ray Certification is a plus
- Self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
- Possess great understanding of dental terminology
- Have excellent communication and written skills
- Have excellent public relations skills
- Work well with patients and team
- Experienced in delivering high-level customer service
- Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
