Job summary

MI Smile Journey Orthodontics in Saginaw, Michigan is seeking a friendly Orthodontic Assistant to support the orthodontist and clinical team in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

You will take digital scans, radiographs, educate patients, maintain records, prepare and sterilize instruments, and assist with Invisalign cases while upholding HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• X-Ray Certification is preferred or required.
• RDA certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orthodontic procedures and patient care.
• Take quality digital scans, photographs, and radiographs.
• Educate patients and parents on treatment plans and oral care instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA and infection control standards.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms.
• Monitor inventory and stock clinical supplies.
• Assist with Invisalign cases, appliance delivery, and orthodontic adjustments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative team members to ensure efficient patient flow.

Position Details

• Position: Orthodontic Assistant
• Location: Saginaw, MI
• Schedule: Open to full or part-time opportunities

What You'll Do

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the orthodontist and clinical team. Responsibilities include:
