MI Smile Journey Orthodontics - Saginaw is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant who is friendly, motivated, and patient-focused to join a growing team in Saginaw, MI. Open to full- or part-time opportunities, you will support the orthodontist and clinical team, assist with procedures, take scans and radiographs, educate families, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• X-ray certification preferred or required.
• Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with orthodontic procedures and patient care.
• Take digital scans, photographs, and radiographs.
• Educate patients and parents on treatment plans and care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments following OSHA standards.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms.
• Monitor inventory and stock supplies.
• Assist with Invisalign cases and adjustments.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure smooth patient flow.

Position Details

• Position: Orthodontic Assistant
• Location: Saginaw, MI
• Schedule: Open to full or part-time opportunities

What You'll Do

As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the orthodontist and clinical team. Responsibilities include:

• Assist with orthodontic procedures and patient care
• Take quality digital scans, photographs, and radiographs
• Educate patients and parents on treatment plans and oral care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical notes
• Prepare and sterilize instruments while maintaining OSHA and infection control standards
• Set up and break down treatment rooms
• Monitor inventory and stock clinical supplies
• Assist with Invisalign cases, appliance delivery, and orthodontic adjustments
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Work collaboratively with both clinical and administrative team members to ensure efficient patient flow

The position also requires maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment and providing compassionate, patient-centered care at every visit.
