This role emphasizes precise radiographic techniques, appliance placement, patient education, and accurate record-keeping. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus in our multilingual Miami practice, with opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Prior orthodontic assistant experience is required.
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and appliances.
• Dental radiography certification or willingness to obtain.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus in the Miami market.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during patient exams, consultations, and procedures.
• Place and remove orthodontic appliances including brackets, bands, and archwires.
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and digital scans.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
• Update and maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Coordinate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow and scheduling.
