Casa Smiles in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a passionate Part-Time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered team. You will assist the orthodontist chairside, prepare instruments, take X-rays, educate patients, and help manage records and scheduling with a welcoming demeanor.

Ideal candidates have orthodontic or dental assisting experience, Florida dental X-ray certification, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
• Florida-certified X-ray/dental assistant required or able to obtain.
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology and equipment.

Responsabilités

About the Role

Casa Smiles is looking for a passionate and skilled Part-Time Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing team in beautiful Coral Gables, FL! Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist chairside during patient treatments, including bonding, banding, and wire adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and treatment rooms between patients
• Take and process dental X-rays and intraoral photographs
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
• Manage patient records, treatment documentation, and appointment scheduling
• Fabricate and deliver orthodontic appliances, retainers, and aligners as directed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant clinical environment

Requirements

• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience strongly preferred
• Dental Assistant certification or X-ray certification (Florida compliant)
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the Coral Gables community
