Overview

Pay Rate: $18 - $20.89

Location: Monday-Wednesday 7:45-5pm

Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, an affiliate of Spark Dental Management, has an immediate opportunity available for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant!

We are seeking a skilled Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment where you can grow and develop your skills while positively impacting patients' oral health.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively in a pediatric, child-friendly environment.
• Review hygiene patient charts, including visit reasons, medical history, and x-ray requirements.
• Verify patient information with parent or guardian, following HIPAA privacy standards.
• Ensure patient consent for treatment from parent or guardian.
• Communicate with parents or guardians about what to expect during visits and address concerns.
• Chart all existing/missing teeth, restorations, and dental procedures.
• Obtain high-quality x-rays necessary for treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical notes for each visit.
• Clean and sterilize all instruments according to OSHA and company standards, including scrubbing, packing, and sterilizing via statim or autoclave.
• Maintain Dental Assisting License in good standing and complete required CE credits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR Healthcare Provider Certification (preferred).
• Dental office experience (preferred).
• Working with children requires passing a criminal background check.
