Orthodontic Assistant

Dental and Braces

  • Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

We are actively seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support our mission and help us create more smiles and memorable experiences. Join a team that values teamwork and genuinely cares about patients. Find your opportunity to make an impact:

  • Participate in local community events, including school screenings and presentations, to promote a positive image.
  • Engage in morning huddles, offer to lead one, and acknowledge team members' efforts.
  • Enjoy working with children, who comprise 70% or more of our patient base.
Responsibilities
  • Provide quality and compassionate care to every patient.
  • Guide parents and patients through processes before treatment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
  • Take and save x-rays to patient charts.
  • Capture high-quality orthodontic facial photos.
  • Ensure operational readiness of the clinic.
  • Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
  • Mix materials like amalgam, cement, and pulp paste; prepare impression materials.
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
  • Clean chairs and rooms.
  • Assist dental staff during treatments.
  • Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures.
  • Pour, trim, and polish impression casts.
  • Fabricate custom impression trays.
  • Adhere to all regulations, standards, and compliance programs with integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Orthodontic or Dental Assistant Certification (state dependent).
  • Radiology certification is mandatory.
  • Preferred at least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
  • Strong focus on customer service and satisfaction.
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Demonstrate compassion and high service standards for patients, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain integrity and professionalism.
  • Dependable and reliable attendance.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
