Job summary

Forrest Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. You will deliver a positive clinical experience and comply with state dental laws under supervision of an Orthodontist.

Key duties include placing/removing appliances, bonding brackets, chart reviews, lab work, and managing patient flow; you will also handle remote monitoring, educate patients, and maintain infection control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience as an Orthodontic Clinician II.
• Dental Assistant certification if required by state Dental Board.
• Radiography certification if required by state Dental Board.
• CPR certification if required by state Dental Board.

Responsibilities

• Place and remove orthodontic appliances; take full records.
• Bonding, placing, and expert positioning of brackets.
• Review patient charts and transcribe doctor notes.
• Perform laboratory procedures under supervision.
• Final checks on patients and manage patient flow.
• Manage remote monitoring dashboard; triage patient scans and messages.
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment and operatory.
• Assist in Local Store Marketing and community events.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.

Responsible for delivering positive clinical experience to all patients while following strict adherence to company policies as well state dental laws, rules and regulations under the general direction and supervision of an Orthodontist.

How You’ll Make Us Better

• Places and removes orthodontic appliances and takes full records under general supervision of the Orthodontist
• Performs bonding, placing, and expert positioning of brackets
• Reviews patient charts, logs appropriate patient data and transcribes doctor notes
• Performs laboratory procedures under limited supervision of an Orthodontist
• Performs final checks on patients and leads patient flow
• Manages the remote monitoring dashboard including review/triage patient scans, responds to direct patient messages, and triages notifications
• Educates patients on orthodontic care and remote monitoring
• Cleans, sterilizes, and prepares the equipment and operatory following standard protocols
• Assists in Local Store Marketing and community events
• Adheres to all infection-control policies and protocols
