Job summary

Resurgens Surgery Center in Atlanta is seeking a Total Joint Coordinator to manage the full care pathway for total joint patients, coordinating care before, during, and after surgery and serving as a liaison across the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current GA Nursing License.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS (required).
• ACLS (required).
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in ASC setting.
• Passionate about patient education.
• Clinical expertise to apply sound judgment for optimal patient care.
• Strong communication to instruct patients, family and staff.
• Self-directed with strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer literacy skills.
• Supports changes in work assignment per schedule and patient needs.
• Ability to participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of utilization review, care coordination, transfer and discharge planning.
• Team player with professional conduct.

Resurgens Surgery Center is a single-specialty outpatient surgery practice that specializes in orthopedic surgery.

• Our surgery center is a joint venture between Resurgens Orthopedic Group and USPI, the nation's largest provider of surgical services.
• Providing care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 12 months through adolescence.
• Ideal candidates will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies, and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team.

Job Summary: Total Joint Coordinator

The **** Joint Coordinator will assume responsibility and accountability for the entire care pathway of the total joint patient. Optimization of the program will be achieved by facilitating care for patients by serving as a liaison throughout the continuum of care. This is achieved by anticipating and addressing each patient's needs before, during, and after surgery. There is ongoing collaboration to create a team approach with the medical team including the surgeon, anesthesiologist, Pre-op, PACU, OR staff, PT provider, ASC leadership, and key members from the surgeon's office. In addition to the day-to-day activities required, the position requires the Coach to participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
