Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a Patient Care Tech for Main 5 in Canton, Ohio. The role supports the patient care team by delivering direct care under RN supervision, collecting specimens, and assisting during meals, mobility, and transfers.

Responsibilities include charting in Cerner, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with routine procedures like Foley removal and bladder scans. A strong focus on safety, compassion, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• AHA Healthcare Provider Training is required (BLS).
• Adheres to the hospital attendance policy and will make every effort to consistently be punctual when reporting to work and during daily activities.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Supports other direct caregivers as needed, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Performs activities of daily living including but not limited to ambulation, meal intake, and hydration.
• Transfers to chair/log roll and assists with transfers and discharges.
• Collects specimens and obtains blood glucose; performs EKGs and bladder scans under RN guidance.
• Maintains safety initiatives and responds to call lights; documents care in Cerner.
