Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on Memorial 6 South in Canton, OH. You will assist with direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and perform a range of duties to ensure comfort and safety.

You will collect specimens, perform limited tests, track intake and output, and help with transfers, meals, and mobility. Competency in Cerner and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

High School graduate and BLS certification required.
Basic computer skills are required.
Must be able to work under the supervision of an RN and demonstrate reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Assist direct caregivers under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Perform activities of daily living including ambulation, toileting, positioning and incontinence care.
Collect specimens and perform limited tests per physician order; transport specimens to the lab as needed.
Perform EKGs, removal of Foley catheters, and bladder scans under RN supervision.
Assist with transfers, meals, nourishments, and monitoring of patients; document care in Cerner.
Maintain safety, monitor for high-risk patients, and respond to call lights.
Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked and rooms are clean.
