Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: At least two years of related medical office experience.
• Experience with referrals and prior authorizations.
• Surgery scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes is a plus.
• Experience with Allscripts EMR is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for new and returning patients and surgeries.
• Manage physician schedules and clinic flow.
• Obtain authorizations for surgeries and procedures as needed.
• Provide administrative support to physicians and staff.
• Coordinate communication with patients and offices; greet patients.
• Lead scheduling process improvements and adhere to standards.
