Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support licensed nurses in a fast-paced unit. The role focuses on direct patient care, ADLs assistance, vital signs, and accurate documentation to ensure safety and quality care.

The position operates in day shifts with weekend rotation and benefit eligibility, offering 24 hours per week. Magnet-recognized facility with strong nursing leadership and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Provides direct patient care under supervision to support licensed nurses.
• Collects vital signs and basic patient information for nursing assessments.
• Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and documents care activities.
• Maintains patient safety and follows care plans and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Collects clinical data and information on patients, and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology. Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.
