Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurses. The role supports a team-based approach to ensure safe, compassionate care and timely documentation of patient activities.

The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), with benefit eligibility and holiday/weekend rotation. CNA certification is required and prior experience is not mandated.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required for consideration.
• Certified Nurse Assistant license must be active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, assisting with ADLs, vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy or point-of-care testing as requested.
• Collects clinical data and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Assists with patient and family education. Documents all care activities with correct medical terminology. Serves as 1:1 safety sitter as necessary.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available to meet patient needs.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
