Mercy South Orthopedics in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time Orthopedics. Day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 36 hours per week, at Mercy Hospital South.

Education requirements include completion of an accredited nursing program with MO RN licensure (compact licensure accepted) and BLS certification. BSN preferred; prior hospital experience is valued. Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following.
• Licensure: Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
