Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse for the Orthopedics unit, daytime shifts. You will coordinate patient care with a multidisciplinary team, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans while maintaining thorough documentation.

The role requires active RN licensure in Arizona and BLS certification, with experience in acute care and familiarity with orthopedics preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred. (EP: two years EP experience or competency).
• Current RN licensure in Arizona and BLS certification required; additional certifications may be department-specific.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates outcomes to ensure safe care.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and maintains patient documentation.
• Reviews preceding shift reports, conducts rounds, and notes patient condition.
• Notifies physician of unusual events requiring consultation.
• Educates patients and families, reinforces instructional material, and ensures safety.
• Adheres to aseptic techniques and manages IV lines as needed.
