Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Palos Park, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Ortho North unit. You will provide basic nursing care under an RN, monitor vitals, assist with daily living activities, and help keep the unit clean and organized.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, and is offered full-time days with weekend rotation. CNA/CMA/EMT or nursing students with clinicals are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA / CMA / EMT or nursing student with at least one clinical semester is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN.
• Monitors vital signs and records intake/output.
• Assists with activities of daily living and daily personal care.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff and maintains patient room cleanliness.
• Prioritizes unit tasks and supports workflow with the charge RN.
