Job summary

OrthoNebraska is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the OR, handling instruments and equipment for orthopedic procedures. The role emphasizes maintaining a sterile field, supporting the surgeon, and ensuring quality patient care.

Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician Program and BLS certification within 90 days of hire. The position is full-time (1.0 FTE) with four 10-hour shifts Mon-Fri between 6:30am and 7:00pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician Program or equivalent training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• 1+ year of surgical experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment criteria.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field throughout procedures using aseptic technique.
• Perform scrub duties accurately, concisely and timely.
• Assist with orthopedic surgeries by anticipating surgeon needs and managing supplies.
• Identify locations and secure supplies/equipment as required.
• Demonstrate teamwork and clear communication to ensure patient safety.
