Job summary

Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC is seeking a Nursing Technician II for the Orthopedics department on the day shift (7a-7:30p). The role provides direct patient care under RN supervision and supports nutrition, mobility and daily living activities, as well as discharge preparation.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma, 1 year of nurse tech experience, and BLS within 90 days. Sign-on bonus available; emphasis on safety and teamwork within a busy acute care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1 year of experience as a nurse tech
• 1 year of experience can substitute for CNA or nursing fundamentals
• BLS required within the first 90 days of hire
• Required Training: None

Responsibilities

• Participates in interventions related to the patient plan of care.
• Reports changes in patient condition to nurse.
• Provides safety measures in accordance with unit standards.
• Prepares rooms and equipment for admissions.
• Assists with admission procedures and orientation.
• Assists with activities of daily living for patients.
• Changes linen and makes bed; organizes patient environment.
• Prepares patient for discharge/transfer with equipment and belongings.
