Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ortho/Neuro unit. The 26-bed unit includes negative pressure and bariatric lift-capable rooms.

You will provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures, trauma care, and medical overflow as needed. GA-licensed RN with ADN or diploma and at least 1 year of experience is required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
• ADN or Diploma required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates leadership on the care team and partners with team members.
• Leads interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriate care and transitions.
• Delivers safe, effective, efficient care following population-specific guidelines.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families, and colleagues across all levels.
• Supports NGHS shared governance model and evidence-based practice.
