Job summary

Los Robles Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join the Ortho/Neuro department. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patients, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Vital sign checks, mobility support, and patient comfort are key aspects of the role. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, ability to read medical terminology, 1+ year acute care experience preferred, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Read, write and comprehend medical terminology
• 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• CNA license as mandated by state of practice

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
