NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island seeks a Medical Assistant for the Orthopedics team in Patchogue. You will support physicians and nurses by performing assigned patient care tasks, ensuring safety and compassionate care under hospital guidelines.

The role requires a MA program graduate or 2 years of MA experience, strong communication skills, and basic computer knowledge. Responsibilities include patient flow, vital signs, EKGs, and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 2 years MA experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers.

Responsabilités

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care.
• Maintain patient flow to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and EKGs when needed.
• Assist with blood collection and ensure chart is complete for physician review.
• Support physicians with procedures and post-care tasks.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and prep rooms between patients.
• Assist with administrative responsibilities as needed.
