Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Medical Assistant (FGP) for Manhattan's Orthopedic Center. You will support physicians and nurses, obtain vitals and EKGs, and help manage patient flow and procedure support. Strong communication and patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or certification upon hire. MA experience is preferred, including EKG or spirometry.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or certification within hire period.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses in patient care.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and EKGs when needed.
• Support patient flow and chart preparation for visits.
• Assist with procedures and specimen transport as required.
• Maintain exam rooms and stock supplies.
• Assist with patient comfort and daily activities as needed.
• Document charges per policy.
