Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Medical Assistant to manage patient flow, document vitals, and support providers with exams and treatments. You will collect patient information, communicate instructions, and maintain accurate records in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, drawing blood, prepping specimens, and coordinating appointments. The role requires infection control knowledge, confidentiality, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Formación

• Medical assisting certification or 3+ years of MA experience required.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficiency in basic clinical skills (phlebotomy, BP, EKG, injections) required.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety and patient confidentiality policies.
• 2+ years of prior clinical support in a medical office preferred.
• Electronic Medical Records experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms promptly and courteously.
• Reviews charts to ensure reports and results are available before exams.
• Obtains patient chief complaint and vitals (height, weight, BP).
• Assists providers with examinations, procedures and treatments.
• Draws blood and prepares specimens for labs; routes specimens as needed.
