Banner Health is seeking an Orthopedics Medical Assistant to support physicians and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare patients, take vital signs, assist with exams and minor procedures, and manage referrals and scheduling to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) with membership proof where applicable.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by recording vital signs and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, EKGs and phlebotomy.
• Coordinate patient care with pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; communicate results to patients.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing information.
