Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. in Odenton, MD seeks an Orthopedic Medical Assistant to support physicians and patients in an ambulatory setting. You will room patients, educate them, assist with minor procedures, and help with casts, splints, and wound care.

You will document health histories, record vitals, and ensure smooth patient flow while upholding iCare service standards and a collaborative practice environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or documentation of graduation from an accredited training program preferred.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist physicians/PA/NPs with patient care.
• Assist with minor office procedures, casts/splints, wound care, and suture/staple removal.
• Obtain vitals and document health history in the medical record.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures; remove sutures/staples; apply bandages.
• Maintain supplies and provider/staff support to ensure smooth patient flow.
