Job summary

Luminis Health in Odenton, MD is seeking an Orthopedic Medical Assistant to support physicians in an ambulatory clinic. You will room patients, educate them, assist with minor procedures, apply casts and splints, and help with suture removal while delivering excellent customer service.

You will document vital signs, health history, and prepare equipment for procedures. The role requires strong teamwork, professionalism, and the ability to handle physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or completion of an accredited training program preferred.
• Customer Service experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Orthopedic Physician/PA/NPs with fracture reduction, casts/splints, immobilizers; instruct patient in care.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and health history; ensure accurate charting.
• Prepare equipment for minor procedures; assist with sutures, bandages, and waste disposal.
