Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Orthopaedics Medical Surgical unit on the Cleveland Main Campus. You will lead a 34-bed unit with telemetry, overseeing daily operations, patient care, staffing, and quality initiatives.

The ANM collaborates with nurses, techs, and managers to ensure high-quality care, participates in interviews and onboarding, and may serve as charge nurse. You will join a world-class team committed to excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current.
• ACLS certification required if in a Critical Care area.
• Two years of recent clinical nursing experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide patient care.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers and conduct corrective actions as needed.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and research initiatives.
• Assume Nurse Manager responsibilities in their absence.
