Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Transplant Specialty Care Unit in Cleveland, OH. The role oversees clinical operations, delivers patient care, and coordinates communication among caregivers to support outstanding patient outcomes.

The ANM collaborates with Nurse Managers, reviews operational issues, and supports quality improvement projects while maintaining staffing and coverage across all shifts.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 2+ years of recent clinical nursing experience required.
• Current RN license in state of practice (OH) or eligible.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred for Critical Care areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate unit clinical operations.
• Provide patient care.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.
• Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.
• Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel on performance, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance.
• Interview, select and orient new caregivers.
• Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.
• Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence.
