Job summary

Bond Management Partners LLC is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support the orthodontist in delivering exceptional patient care. You will assist during procedures, prepare instruments, fabricate appliances, and maintain records with strict infection control.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in an orthodontic setting, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while staying compliant with HIPAA/OSHA/ADA regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in an ortho practice is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including installing braces, adjusting wires, and placing aligners
• Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment
• Fabricate and fit orthodontic appliances, such as retainers and space maintainers, under the orthodontist's direction
• Remove braces, wires, and bands as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment progress
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques specific to orthodontic care
• Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards in each operatory
• Prepare tray setups for orthodontic procedures and ensure proper supply management
• Instruct patients on general oral health care, as directed by the orthodontist
• Ensure compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, and Dental Board requirements
• Record patient charting and update records as needed
• Take digital x-rays for treatment assessment
• Assist in managing and maintaining the orthodontic supply inventory
• Stay current with advancements in orthodontics and maintain required certifications
• Perform other duties as assigned
