Job summary

CARLOS RIVAS DDS INC is seeking a motivated Orthodontic Assistant in Moreno Valley, CA to support the orthodontist chairside and help deliver outstanding patient care. You will assist during exams and procedures, take X-rays, educate patients, and help maintain a clean, efficient practice environment.

Ideal candidates have orthodontic or dental assisting experience, an RDA certification or willingness to obtain one, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred.
• Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures, terminology, and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered chairside manner.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental office.
• Knowledge of dental practice management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Place and remove brackets, bands, wires, and ligatures under doctor supervision.
• Take and process dental X-rays, photographs, and impressions for treatment planning.

• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, compliant treatment area.
• Greet patients, manage appointment flow, and ensure a positive patient experience.
