The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking aqualified individual as an Ornamental HorticultureCoordinator. The incumbent under the direction of an assignedadministrator, organize, coordinate and oversee the day-todayoperations and supervision of the Ornamental HorticultureDepartment; including facilitation of department accounts, budgetsand purchasing; maintenance of department equipment and suppliesfor the ornamental horticulture programs and facilities including astoreroom, retail store, greenhouse, shade house and other growingareas; coordinate and organize large-scale department events andactivities; oversee and participate in the plant care activities;assist in the overall promotion of the ornamental horticultureprogram and serve as liaison between the Nursery, vendors, theCollege and the community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Two years college-level coursework or the equivalent with specialized training in ornamental horticulture or a related field.
EXPERIENCE:
Increasingly responsible experience in ornamentalhorticulture.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Valid California driver's license and ability to qualify for district vehicle insurance coverage.
Valid California State Pesticide Regulation Qualified Applicator's Certificate, Category B (landscape maintenance).
