Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold all state licenses to practice medicine.
• Federal DEA license required.
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance licenses as required by state.
• Current board certification (ABMS, AMA or AOA).
• Medical Degree from an accredited school.
• CPR certification meeting AHA standards.
• Minimum three years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Experience in a primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides episodic, preventive, and acute health care to patients.
• May provide occupational health services in some health centers.
• Conducts histories and physical examinations and prescribes medications and/or treatments.
• Develops treatment plans in collaboration with patients; educates on medical issues.
• Provides referrals to medical resources or specialty as needed.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of medical care and monitors progress.
