Job summary

Barnowl Advisory Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Orlando team, overseeing the construction process with the Superintendent. You will help coordinate subcontractors, monitor schedules, and ensure work is completed safely and to the required standards.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, at least two years in construction, strong reading of blueprints, good communication, and proficiency with office software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in construction with a commercial contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in planning, scheduling, and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project schedules to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets plans and specs.
• Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses.
• Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed on site.
• Communicate with the project team, subcontractors, and clients.
• Help resolve conflicts during the construction process.
• Maintain accurate records of progress, safety reports, and change orders.
