Job summary

ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) seeks an ORION Electrical Test Engineer to join our team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The role focuses on developing test plans, procedures, and automated scripts for Orion spacecraft electrical tests and performing procedure checkout across multiple test labs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering with 2–4 years of hands-on test experience, willingness to work extended hours and travel, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Aerospace Engineering or related field, with 2–4 years of experience.
• Hands-on electrical, computer or aerospace test experience.
• Willing to work extended hours including 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.
• Willing to travel.
• Fundamental knowledge of test engineering processes.
• Experience writing test plans or test procedures.
• Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing.
• Knowledge of Orion spacecraft or production spacecraft programs.
• Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC).
• Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software.
• Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment and test equipment.
• Experience using Automation Framework tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans, procedures, and automated test scripts for electrical tests on Orion spacecraft and test articles.
• Perform checkout of test procedures and scripts in Orion Test Labs in Denver and Houston.
• Execute test procedures on flight articles, ETA, and future Orion vehicles.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA.
