Medical Mutual in Brooklyn, OH seeks an Organizational Development Specialist I to support design, development, and implementation of limited scope OD and training programs. Onsite 3 days a week, you will collaborate with senior OD staff to foster a strong organizational culture.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in business/education and up to one year in OD/training. Preference for a Master's and certifications in training/assessment tools. Benefits are extensive.

Job Summary

In conjunction with higher-level Organizational Development staff, the Organizational Development Specialist I participates in the design, development, and implementation of limited scope/complexity employee-level organizational development (OD), training programs, and strategies. Supports the research, development, and implementation of organizational development tools, practices, and programs. Supports the creation and development of a strong organizational culture. Position is headquartered in Brooklyn, OH, onsite 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Responsibilities

• In conjunction with higher-level OD staff, participates in basic design and development of limited scope/routine corporate training and OD programs. Facilitates/co-facilitates limited scope training and OD programs. Develops basic content with e-learning tools. Facilitates new hire orientation.
• Coordinates and manages relationships with external vendors supporting the delivery of OD and training programs.
• Support the administration of the Organizational Development department, including coordination of OD activities, scheduling, and vendor and accounts payable activities.
• Utilizes feedback data to analyze impact of training and OD activities
• Keeps abreast of changes and trends in talent, organizational development, and consulting practices; surfaces meaningful recommendations for improvements that will positively impact the organization and its culture.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, education or related field.
• Master's degree in adult learning, organizational development, industrial-organizational psychology, human resources or related field preferred.
• Up to one year of experience as an Organizational Development Specialist or equivalent experience in adult learning or organizational development.

Professional Certification(s)

• Certified Professional Trainer preferred (or substantial progress towards designation) preferred.
• Certified in behavioral assessment tools preferred.

Technical Skills And Knowledge

• Basic knowledge of and the ability to learn apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles.
• Basic knowledge of e-learning and content development software, such as Articulate, Captivate, etc.
• Basic knowledge of learning management software.
