Job summary

Atlas Data Storage, Inc. seeks a hands-on expert in Organic Electrochemistry, Electrocatalysis, and Microarray Electrosynthesis to drive high-fidelity enzymatic DNA synthesis on high-density arrays.

You will engineer the electrochemical environment within our chip architecture, bridging physical organic chemistry with CMOS hardware to enable massively parallel synthesis with minimal side reactions.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry with a strong focus on Organic Electrochemistry or Electrocatalysis.
• Postgraduate bench experience in industrial R&D or academia with hands-on synthesis on microelectrode arrays or solid supports.
• Deep understanding of physical organic chemistry principles and redox mediator behavior under potential control.
• Hands-on proficiency with electrochemical characterization (CV, SWV) to elucidate synthesis pathways.

Responsibilities

• Design high-throughput experiments to probe and confine organic reactions at micro-electrode interfaces with high fidelity.
• Develop and optimize electrochemical methods and redox-mediated pathways for high-density electrode arrays.
• Control electron-transfer kinetics, radical intermediates, and mass transport to maximize yield and current efficiency.
• Collaborate with biochemists, microfluidics experts, surface chemists, and CMOS designers to optimize enzyme-driven DNA synthesis.
• Document breakthroughs with detailed data reporting and present to R&D leadership.
• Be an independent contributor and a strong team player.
