Job summary

CAS, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, seeks an Organic Chemist to curate chemical reaction data and build CAS’s content collection. You will analyze literature, index reactions, and apply CAS indexing policies while leveraging your chemistry knowledge.

The role requires an advanced degree in organic chemistry (or a BA with 1–3 years) and strong reading/writing skills, with a focus on accuracy and collaboration in a global team.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in organic chemistry or a bachelor’s with 1–3 years of related work experience.
• Strong reading and writing of scientific content in chemistry.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply policies, tools, and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, collect, and curate chemical reaction data from literature.
• Index reactions using CAS policies and contribute to content collections.
• Collaborate with peers and other CAS functions to share knowledge.
