Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC seeks a transplant support professional to perform aseptic recovery of tissue and organs, coordinate donor logistics, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves organ preservation, evaluation of donors, and maintaining LifeShare labs and equipment.

The position requires an associate degree or relevant certification (CTP/CTBS, Surgical Tech, EMT, RN/LPN) and a valid driver’s license, with preferred BS in Health Science. Travel and on-site work expected.

Formación

• Associates degree or transplant-related certification required.
• BS in Health Science preferred.
• CTP and/or CTBS certifications or Surgical Technician/EMT/RN/LPN qualifications are preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs aseptic recovery of tissue and organs per policy and procedures.
• Coordinates recovery, preservation and transportation of donated organs.
• Performs organ preservation and cannulation on preservation machines as approved by surgical director; performs in-situ flush.
• Performs donor evaluations and coordinates logistics with Medical Examiners, Nursing Supervisors, and Funeral Directors.
• Ensures all recovered organ and tissue are packaged per policy and meet regulatory requirements.
• Performs decontamination and sterilization of LifeShare instruments used in recovery.
• Maintains Organ, Tissue, and Eye Labs and ensures supplies are stocked to par levels.

Educación

Associates Degree or CTP/CTBS certification

BS in Health Science preferred

Surgical Technician/EMT/RN/LPN certification preferred
